Dr. Schell
A few extra dental visits, one life-changing dentist, & a very big idea
Dr. Logan Schell’s journey into pediatric dentistry began exactly where you might expect: in the dental chair.
After needing his fair share of dental work as a kid, he got to know his dentist pretty well. But instead of making him want to stay far, far away from dentistry, those visits sparked his curiosity. He eventually began shadowing his dentist, saw firsthand the kind of impact she could have on a child’s experience, and discovered the career he was meant to pursue.
Today, Dr. Schell is a board-certified pediatric dentist with four years of clinical experience and advanced pediatric training from Case Western Reserve University. More importantly, he genuinely loves working with kids and helping them build a happier, healthier relationship with the dentist than they may have thought possible.
For children who need a little extra support during treatment, Dr. Schell is trained in nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Whether a child feels anxious, has special healthcare needs, or requires more involved care, his goal is always the same: meet them where they are and help make the experience feel as safe, comfortable, and manageable as possible.

Dr. Schell believes great pediatric dental care starts with listening. Every exam begins with what brought your family in and what matters most to you. From there, he takes the time to walk through your child’s smile tooth by tooth, explain what he sees, and make sure you understand any recommendations before moving forward.
Using digital X-rays and a thorough exam, Dr. Schell helps parents see what he sees rather than simply handing over a treatment plan. You’ll know what’s happening, why he may recommend treatment, what your options are, and what it will cost before anything is scheduled.

The idea for Schell Smiles was shaped by more than dentistry. Dr. Schell grew up watching his father build a business of his own, and that entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to create something personal, independent, and deeply connected to the community it serves.
He envisioned a pediatric dental home where kids see familiar faces, team members remember the little things, parents never feel like another name on the schedule, and every detail of the experience feels intentional.

Your child will be welcomed into a colorful, kid-friendly environment where seeing other children and familiar team members helps dental care feel normal, relaxed, and even fun.
Dr. Schell will begin by listening to your concerns and learning what matters most to your family. He will then complete a thorough examination, review any necessary digital X-rays, and show you what he sees along the way.
Any recommended treatment will be explained in straightforward language, including the available options and anticipated costs. Nothing moves forward until you understand the plan and feel comfortable with it.

Our big fish tank gives kids something fun to explore as soon as they walk in. For nervous little patients, it can also be a calming distraction while they settle in and get comfortable. Ocean-inspired details throughout the practice keep the space playful, colorful, and welcoming for kids of all ages.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays let us capture clear, detailed images of your child’s teeth quickly and comfortably. We even use smaller sensors designed to make getting pictures easier for the tiniest smiles. They use less radiation than traditional film and make it easy for Dr. Schell to review findings with you right on the screen, so you can see what he sees and better understand your child’s dental health.
